You can use the patches below on a JV-1080, JV-2080, XP-50 and XP-80.

How to load these patches into my Roland XP-50 or XP-80?

You can use a program like CakeWalk, Cubase or WinSysex to send the .SYX files to your synthesizer.
It's probably easier to download the special Roland .SVD files. Put these onto a DOS formatted floppydisk to load them directly into your synthesizer.
All patches are compressed with ZIP to reduce the filesize. Use an UNZIP program to decompress.

AGSOUND.ZIP (.SYX format or .SVD format)
These are patches for the Roland JV1080/XP50. Feel free to use them in your own songs. You may also modify them to get improved sounds.
The author is Andreas Giese.

8090USER.ZIP (.SYX format or .SVD format)
This is a full 128 patch JV-1080 bank. It contains the original User bank patches that shipped from the factory on both the Roland JV-80 and the JV-90. These synths only had a 64 patch user area, so both banks fit into this one JV-1080 bank (which has a 128 patch capacity).
These patches are not copyright protected, as far as know.
Roland has not sold these patch banks as separate items.

80TO1080.ZIP (.SYX format or .SVD format)
This bank contains about 45 patches that were originally created for the Roland JV-80.
All patches have been available in the public domain for some years now.

CONTRIB.ZIP (.SYX format or .SVD format)
This is a compilation of 128 fantastic user patches for the JV1080.
The main authors are: Randy Brown, Koert and Sky Moonstone.

MEI_INT.ZIP (.SYX format or .SVD format)
This bank contains 64 patches that we originally created for the Roland JV-80.
The author is Mitch Imhoff.

This bank contains patches that we originally created for the Roland JV-80.

This bank contains 128 patches. I think these are the user patches from the JV-1080.

This bank contains 128 patches.
